Cardiff Community Table Tennis Club team competition
Jordan Rees and Stephen Jarvis
Winners of Division 1 – Second Series
|
|
Congratulations yet again to Cardiff North (Jordan Rees and Stephen Jarvis) for winning the top division for a second time. However, they must have been concerned at the challenge of The Warriors (Tom Goodall and Michael Sheldrick) who were just two points behind them at the finishing line. Lack of Imagination Mark 2 (Adam Roberts and Matthew Hall) tied for third place with Dinas Devils (Alex Vowles and Matthew Todd-Bennett) and both teams decided to have a play off to settle the impasse. Lack of Imagination Mark 2 were victorious and retain their place in Division 1.

Conor McDermott &Ahmed BinesmaelWinners of Division 2Second Series |
The Golden Tigers (Conor McDermott and Ahmed Binesmael) did well to beat all of the opposition, earn top place in their division and promotion to Division 1. Blink18Moo (good pals Ethan Hutchings and Sam Roberts) worked hard to keep ahead of the improving Golden Gladiators (Hani Naser and Sebastian O’Donovan) and the Zibbitts (Zakiyy Azeez and Tom Rose) who ended up in third and fourth positions respectively. We wish Conor and Ahmed good luck in Division 1

Thomas Goodall &Michael SheldrickWinners of Division 1Third Series |
The Warriors (Tom Goodall and a much improved and tenacious Michael Sheldrick) narrowly beat Lack of Imagination Mark 3 (Adam Roberts and Matthew Hall) and earned the top position in this third series of team matches. The Golden Tigers (Conor McDermott and Ahmed Binesmael) won Division 2 in the last series of matches but found the competition too good for them in the top division and had to settle for fourth place below Cardiff North (Jordan Rees and Stephen Jarvis).

Alex Vowles &Matthew Todd-BennettWinners of Division 2Third Series |
Congratulations to Jackpot (Alex Vowles and Matthew Todd-Bennett) for doing so well in this series of matches. They earned maximum points in every match and were convincing winners of Division 2. Tap Defence (Hani Naser and Sebastion O’Donovan) had improved significantly and earned second place. Jackass (Ethan Hutchings and Sam Roberts gave of their best but had to settle for third place. The Dark Horses (Zakiyy Azeez and newcomer Ethan Skey) also gave of their best but the opposition was too good for them. Yet again Zakiyy Azeez set a splendid example of good sportsmanship. It’s good to see a young person who can accept defeat so graciously and cheerfully. Well done Zakiyy!!
