Juniors

Despite missing their number one, David Owen, Cardiff A team of Ben Avery, Emmaleigh Newman and Chris Curnow achieved a 100% record during the first junior welsh league session. They are currently lying second to Eastern Valley A. In the second session, due to an unfortunate clash with a county fixture Cardiff were without their 3 striongest players, David Owen, Ben Avery and Emmaleigh Newman. The team of Chris Curnow, Simon Oyler and Lixi Pan did their best, but were outmatched by Eastern Valley A and North Gwent A. So they have dropped to 3rd in division one.

Veterans

Cardiff A team of George Evans, Steve Eades and Roy Gibson achieved two wins including beating the fancied Y Morfa side from north Wales. The B team have yet to get off the mark but only played one match.

After 3 sessions Y Morfa have a two point lead over Cardiff A who, in turn, have a 2 point lead over Cardiff B. Y Morfa have a strong team of Ron Weatherby, Clive Parry, Tony Needham and Jeff Rigby though Cardiff A team  are pushing them all the way.

Seniors

Cardiff A team went through the first session without dropping a match beating Cardiff B and C teams along with Eastern Valley A. Cardiff B & C both managed one win each leaving Swansea B on the bottom of the table. Cardiff D Team won 2 out of 3 matches placing them in 3rd place, whilst the newcomers of Cardiff E performed well to win 2 out of their 3 matches, also to be placed 3rd.

In the second session, Cardiff A were without their number one David Owen who was away on international duty. Despite this they still managed to beat Swansea B, but lost out to a strong Swansea A Team. Cardiff B and C teams both managed 1 win placing them in them in 4th and 3rd places respectively.

Cardiff D team won both their matches despite Emmaleigh Newman and Ben Avery being away on international duty, placing them second in division 2.

Cardiff E also completed 2 wins out of 2, moving them into second place in division 3

In the 3rd session Cardiff A were back to full strength and completed three 7-0 wins against Cardiff B & C and Eastern Valley A. This leaves them in second place behind Swansea A who also won their matches, it looks likely to go down to the final match when these two teams play each other for the title. Cardiff B and C unfortunately lost all their matches leaving them in 5th and 4th places respectively.

Cardiff D managed one out three wins leaving them in 3rd place in division 2.
