Cardiff Community Club
Congratulations, Jordan Rees and Stephen Jarvis
The Cardiff North team (Jordan Rees and Stephen Jarvis) have won the Junior Division of the Cardiff Community Table Tennis Club team competition. Although many of their matches were keenly contested they managed to win all of them.
The Dinas Devils (Alex Vowles and Matthew Todd-Bennett), fought hard to win the second place. Double Trouble (Andrew Sims and Huw Hudson), did in fact trouble the other teams and in the process came third closely followed by Lack of Imagination (Adam Roberts, Matthew Hall, Ethan Hutchins and Sam Roberts) and the Bobinators (Ahmed Binesmael, Ben Rose, Zakiyy Azeez and Tom Goodall).
If a trophy had been awarded to the most sporting team it would have been awarded to the A Team (Connor McDermott, Michael Sheldrick, Tom Rose and Wil Richards) because they gave of their best in every match but didn’t quite manage to win any matches. However, they made the other teams happy!
It has been a pleasure observing all these young people organising their own matches and playing in such a sporting manner as well as improving their table tennis.
The next series of matches commences on Friday 9th January 2009. It is hoped that more teams will compete in that team competition.
